What are the Spotlight Awards?

If you didn't make it to our Spotlight Awards last year, you may be wondering, What are the Spotlight Awards?
The Spotlight Awards is an event in May that's like the Patel Conservatory's own Oscar Night, complete with a red carpet!
To help you understand more about the event, we've put together this handy overview!

• The Spotlight Awards is evening to celebrate the accomplishments of Patel Conservatory students.

• The Spotlight Awards bring our dance, theater and music students together with parents and community members to celebrate the year, recognize outstanding students, pay tribute to our graduating seniors and honor our Community Partners. 

• The Spotlight Awards is a fundraiser for the Straz Center’s Patel Conservatory and education programs.

• You can support the event through sponsorship or a parent dedication ad in the program!

• As a not-for-profit organization, all proceeds from the Spotlight Awards will support our classes, performances and outreach programs.

• Encores of some of the most memorable student performances of the year, including performances from Next Generation Ballet, Rock School, Caught!, Once Upon a Mattress and our Youth Orchestra and Choirs!

• At the Spotlight Awards, you are a celebrity! Celebrate all your year of accomplishments with a walk down the red carpet and pose for the paparazzi! 

• The Spotlight Awards take place on Wed., May 23, 2012.

• Dinner will be served by the Patel Conservatory Booster Club at 5 p.m. and the awards show will begin at 7 p.m. in Ferguson Hall.

• Buy your tickets now before the price goes up! Tickets are $20 through May 9, 2012 and increase to $25 as of May 10, 2012.
